Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Cactusberry Lodge. By making a booking or staying at our premises, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions, which govern your stay. Please read them carefully.
2. Booking and Payment
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The balance is payable within 7 days unless arranged otherwise.
- Payment Methods: We accept most major credit cards
- Cancellation Policy:
- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
No-Show Policy: If you fail to check in on the reserved date without prior notice, you will be charged the full reservation amount.
3. Check-in/Check-out
- Check-in Time: Check-in is available from 1pm to 5pm
- Late check-ins must be arranged with the Lodge 24hrs in advance.
- Check-out Time: Guests are required to check out by 11am.
- For guests departing later, we can store your luggage and have ablution facilities to shower before you leave.
- Parking is free but must be pre-arranged with the Lodge as space is limited.
4. Occupancy and Guests
- At most, the number of guests should be, at most, the confirmed number at the time of booking unless prior arrangements are made.
- Children and Extra Beds: Children over the age of 8 can stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
5. House Rules
- No Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the guest house. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
- Noise: We request all guests to respect the peace of other visitors by keeping noise to a minimum, especially during the night (from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM]).
- Pets: Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
6. Liability
- The Guest House is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings during your stay. Guests are advised to use in-room safes.
- Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property, and the cost of any repairs or replacements will be charged to the guest.
7. Health and Safety
- We take the health and safety of our guests seriously. If you or any member of your party becomes ill during your stay, please inform management immediately.
- In case of an emergency, guests are advised to familiarise themselves with the safety procedures and evacuation plans outlined in each room.
8. Changes and Amendments
- The Guest House reserves the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to guests before their stay, where possible.
9. Force Majeure
- The Guest House will not be held liable for any failure to provide services or any inconvenience caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government regulations.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from the stay will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
